Day 12 (29 Oct, Thurs) Namche Bazaar - 3430m

It was a rest day at Namche Bazaar, where we visited some museums and looked around the Bazaar.

Their living condition sucks, and it was really cold at night.

This is traditional Tibetan accessory.
That's cool!

Another one who found comfort in the blankets he was selling.

I tried to speak to them in Mandarin, unfortunately, they only speak Tibetan & Nepali. My guide explained to me that these Tibetans would travel from Tibet into Nepal (without passport) and using their yaks to transport the Chinese Goods.
.
It appears to be a continuation of Ancient Silk Road.

During the evening in the hotel restaurant, we met a Chinese guy who spoke Mandarin with a heavy Mainland Chinese Accent, and naturally, I assumed that he was from China. Then, he surprised us when he told us that he was from Singapore - new migrant I thought. Apparently, he has been living in Singapore for 10 years already and has became a Citizen. He asked if we brought Singapore Flag, we told him that we did not bring. He had the intention of bringing out Singapore Flag and would take a picture with it when he summited Kala Patthar. Even though he is new citizen, he is more patriotic than me. I am impressed! We gave him Diamox, Purification Pills and some advices for his ascent. I hope he make it to the summit. =)
